Job Title: Shipping Coordinator
Job Description
As a Shipping Coordinator, you will work closely with the Plant Manager and sales team to understand the needs of production and sales while managing and organizing the warehouse. Your role will involve creating and sending Purchase Orders, managing order trackers, verifying and processing inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining an organized warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Create and send Purchase Orders for products and services required.
- Review packing lists and follow up on back-ordered products.
- Create and manage order trackers for ETAs, updates, and deliveries.
- Verify all requested items were ordered and received.
- Review prints to ensure all necessary parts were requested and ordered.
- Track costs and reasons for urgent production ordering.
- Process and put away inbound purchases.
- Request and manage outbound shipments.
- Generate pack-out checkoff sheets.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Manage and deliver local product deliveries.
- Organize and manage the warehouse.
Essential Skills
- Firm understanding of shipping and receiving coordination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and building spreadsheets.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 50-70 pounds.
- Customer service skills.
- Forklift operation and material handling experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Inventory management experience.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience in data entry.

Work Environment
You will be working in a family-owned and operated business that builds custom counters and casino signs. The company has about 60 employees. The work primarily takes place in the shop, with responsibilities including loading and unloading trucks. The hours are Monday to Friday from 6am to 4pm, with the possibility of later hours depending on workload. The dress code is jeans, a nice t-shirt, and closed-toed shoes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rapid City, South Dakota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
