Black Hills State University—Rapid City Campus is seeking applicants for a Support Services Analyst position in the Network and Computing Services department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support for daily help desk operations and respond to user requests in a timely manner.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Mac and Windows desktops, laptops, tablets, and iPads.
- Install, configure, and support software applications on Windows and macOS platforms.
- Set up, configure, and support computer peripherals and instructional technology equipment.
- Accurately document technical issues, resolutions, and relevant service information.
- Help maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Ensure clear and professional communication with end users and collaborate effectively with technology team members.
- Monitor instructional and group calendars to ensure needed support is provided.

Additional Information

KNOWLEDGE OF: - Fundamental principles of computer science and information technology - Windows and macOS operating systems, including desktop and mobile platforms - System architecture and design, including installation, compatibility, connectivity, and operating system concepts - Microsoft Office Suite applications and their integration across platforms - Diagnostic and troubleshooting methods for hardware, software, and network-related issues - Classroom and instructional technology such as projectors, document cameras, smart boards, and lecture capture systems - Multimedia creation tools for instructional content development ABILITY TO: - Identify, analyze, and resolve technical problems promptly and systematically - Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical audiences - Collaborate effectively with other BHSU support staff and departments - Plan for and support the implementation of new or upgraded technologies - Gather and interpret information from various hardware and software components to troubleshoot and optimize performance - Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge across a wide range of hardware, software, and instructional technologies - Safely lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds when required REQUIRED LICENSE: - A valid driver’s license is required.
