Help Wanted: 1st/2nd Year Carpentry Apprenticeship Instructor (Part-Time, 1099 Contractor)

Are you an experienced carpenter with a passion for teaching? We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Carpentry Apprenticeship Instructor to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is perfect for someone looking to share their expertise and guide the next generation of carpenters.

Position: Carpentry Apprenticeship Instructor
Status: Part-Time, 1099 Contractor - classified as self-employed and receive a Form 1099-MISC
Location: Rapid City

Hours : One night per week. 3 hours per night.

Responsibilities:

Instruct 1st and 2nd-year carpentry apprentices in both classroom and hands-on settings
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with industry standards and apprenticeship program requirements
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Ensure a safe and productive learning environment
Stay updated with the latest carpentry techniques and industry trends
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience
Prior teaching or training experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and motivate students
Knowledge of current carpentry practices and safety regulations
Reliable, punctual, and professional
